Since their very first meeting in kindergarten, partners Sasha Spivey and Stacey George became instant friends. Fast forward 30 years. The pair landed exactly where they were destined to be: Masterminding their company Franki Ray, a newly-launched, unique lifestyle brand focusing on exquisitely-designed, luxury leather goods.

For the dynamic duo, working together is the culmination of a lifelong dream. “We pledge to always be friends first, business partners second. It’s something we hope will infuse Franki Ray with nothing but goodness,” says Stacey. “When you work with your best friend, you never let her fail,” adds Sasha. Top on their list of priorities is pioneering the comeback of the briefcase. Handcrafted of customdyed buffalo leather, these buttery-soft beauties are adorned with the company’s signature lion clasp.

The collection also includes backpacks and weekender bags, plus what Stacey and Sasha call The Menagerie. “It’s the lion’s den of our creative freedom, no holds barred.” Think wallets, scrunchies, and a jewelry holder that moonlights as clutch, all done in Franki Ray’s signature floral print.

Giving back is part of Franki Ray’s DNA. Affiliations include Children’s Medical Center and Genesis Women’s Shelter.

Looking ahead, big things are in store for the forever friends. “We plan to be unpredictable and whimsical in our future creations. Hold on to your hats.”
